Terms of Service

Effective date: April 27, 2026  ·  Last updated: May 27, 2026

Short version: Use RepairNode to run your repair shop. You own your data. Optional paid features and store billing involve Apple, Google, and RevenueCat, and optional cloud, tracking, diagnostics, and desktop printing integrations involve third-party providers you choose to use.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using RepairNode ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (an individual or business entity) and the creators of RepairNode. Use of the App on behalf of a business means the business also accepts these Terms.

2. Description of the service

RepairNode is an offline-first mobile application for Android and iOS that helps device-repair shop owners manage:

  • Customers — contact details, history, visit tracking
  • Repairs — status workflow, device details, photos, signatures, invoices
  • Parts orders — multi-item orders linked to repairs and customers
  • Quotes — itemised cost estimates with PDF generation
  • Documents — PDF invoices, receipts, and thermal/label printer output
  • Backup — encrypted cloud backup to your personal Google Drive
  • Public tracking — optional customer-facing repair/order status pages

Some features rely on optional third-party services you choose to enable, such as Google Drive backup, public tracking, and diagnostic reports. Core free features and Pro-locked features may change over time, and available Pro packages may vary by store, platform, region, or current offering.

3. Third-party platforms & services

RepairNode relies on several third-party platforms or services depending on the features you use:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play: app distribution, billing, renewals, refunds, and purchase restore on the relevant platform
  • RevenueCat: Pro entitlement verification and subscription state sync
  • Google Sign-In / Google Drive: optional encrypted cloud backup and restore
  • Supabase: optional public tracking links and tracking page delivery
  • Sentry: optional privacy-safe diagnostics when that feature is available and you enable it
  • QZ Tray: optional local desktop print bridge for supported USB thermal-printer workflows

Your use of those external platforms, stores, or tools may also be subject to their own terms, billing rules, privacy policies, and service availability. RepairNode is not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or account restrictions outside our control.

4. Your data & responsibilities

You own your data

All data you enter into RepairNode — including customer records, repair histories, photos, and invoices — belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership over it.

You are responsible for your customers' data

RepairNode is a tool for business owners to manage their own operations. When you enter customer personal information (names, phone numbers, email addresses), you act as the data controller for that information. You are responsible for:

  • Obtaining any consent required by applicable law before recording customer information
  • Responding to your customers' requests to access, correct, or delete their personal data
  • Complying with applicable data-protection laws in your jurisdiction (including GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent)
  • Keeping your device secure and not allowing unauthorised access to the App
  • Sharing public tracking links only with the intended customer, because anyone with the tracking key can view that single public status page

Device security

You are responsible for keeping your device secure, including any screen lock, biometric protection, or app device-authentication setting you choose to enable. You are also responsible for storing your backup passphrase or recovery phrase safely. We cannot recover data if you lose your device and you do not have working backup credentials.

5. Subscription & billing

Pro subscription

RepairNode Pro is an optional paid offering that unlocks additional features. The plans or packages available to you are the ones shown in the app for your store, platform, region, and current offering at the time of purchase. Some packages may be auto-renewing subscriptions, while others may be one-time purchases where supported.

Billing & renewal

All billing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions renew according to the billing terms shown by the store unless you cancel before renewal. One-time purchases do not renew.

If you download, purchase, or restore through the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use of those payment and account flows is also subject to the applicable store terms, refund rules, and platform policies of Apple or Google.

Managing & cancelling

You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. The app may also offer a store restore flow to recover an existing entitlement on the same platform. Cancellation stops future renewals; access to Pro features continues until the end of the current paid period. RevenueCat is used only to verify and sync your entitlement state with the store purchase.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective policies. We are unable to process refunds directly.

Free tier

Core features remain available without a paid entitlement at no cost. We reserve the right to adjust what features are included in the free tier or paid offerings over time, with appropriate advance notice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use RepairNode to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
  • Store or process data about individuals without appropriate legal basis
  • Facilitate fraudulent invoicing, price gouging, or misleading commercial practices
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code beyond what is permitted by applicable law
  • Redistribute or resell the App or its components without authorisation
  • Use the public tracking feature to share false or misleading repair status information

7. Intellectual property

RepairNode, including its name, logo, design, code, and documentation, is owned by its creators and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of the App or any of its components.

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for its intended purpose (managing your repair shop) in accordance with these Terms and the terms of the relevant app store.

8. Disclaimers & warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. Features may change, be temporarily unavailable, or be deprecated with reasonable notice.

RepairNode is a business management tool. It does not provide legal, financial, accounting, or professional repair advice. Any invoices, quotes, or documents you generate are your responsibility — you must ensure they comply with the legal requirements in your jurisdiction.

The App is not a backup service. While Google Drive backup is available, you are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your business data and verifying that backups are working.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the creators of RepairNode shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of business data or revenue resulting from app errors, device failure, or data corruption
  • Costs arising from regulatory fines or legal disputes related to how you use the App
  • Losses caused by third-party service interruptions or policy decisions affecting Apple, Google Play, Google Drive / Google Sign-In, Supabase, RevenueCat, Sentry, or QZ Tray
  • Losses arising from unauthorised access to your device or account credentials

In any event, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or a Pro subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of certain damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

10. Privacy

Your use of RepairNode is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how data is stored, secured, and shared. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Cancelling a Pro subscription does not delete your local data.

We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any feature with reasonable advance notice. In the event of discontinuation of the App, you will retain access to your local data and may export it before the shutdown date.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts in the jurisdiction where the creators of RepairNode are based for the resolution of any disputes.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will include a notice in the App's release notes.

Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with updated Terms, you should stop using the App.
